Calico Rice Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz can mixed vegetables drained
  • 1 13 c water
  • 34 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp dried rosemary crushed
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 13 c quick cooking rice
  • 1 c shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 12 tsp onion salt
  • 18 tsp pepper

Directions

  1. Tear off a 36 x 18-inch piece of heavy-duty foil
  2. Fold in half to make an 18-inch square
  3. Fold up sides using your fist to form a pouch
  4. In a bowl thoroughly combine vegetables rice water cheese salt onion salt rosemary and pepper
  5. Place mixture in pouch
  6. Dot with butter
  7. Fold edges of foil to seal pouch securely
  8. Grill over medium-hot coals about 30 minutes or until done
  9. Makes 6 servings
