Calypso Java Bread

Ingredients

• 3 c packaged biscuit mix
• 34 c brown sugar
• 14 c all-purpose flour
• 1 Tbsp instant coffee powder
• 12 c milk
• 1 c mashed banana 2 bananas
• 1 beaten egg
• 1 c snipped dates
• 12 c chopped walnuts

Directions

1. In mixing bowl combine biscuit mix brown sugar and flour Dissolve coffee powder in milk add all at once to dry ingredients along with banana and egg
2. Beat until blended
3. Stir in dates and nuts
4. Grease bottoms of two 1 pound coffee cans Divide batter between cans
5. Bake in 350 oven for 50 minutes cool 10 minutes
6. Loosen sides of loaves with spatula remove from cans
