Camp Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 c flour self-rising
  • 6 Tbsp cold shortening
  • 34 c milk
  • 1 Tbsp sugar

Directions

  1. Cut in shortening
  2. Stir in milk quickly and knead lightly for a few seconds using as little flour as possible on board
  3. Roll to 14-inch thickness and cut with floured cutter
  4. Cook in lightly greased hot skillet over very low heat until biscuits are brown on underside and raised to height of 1-inch
  5. Turn and brown on other side
