Candied Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 6 medium sliced apples peeled
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 12 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 3 Tbsp margarine
- 13 c dark Karo syrup
- 12 c brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 3 Tbsp syrup
- 2 Tbsp shortening
- 12 c chopped walnuts
Directions
- Prepare pastry of 2-crust 9-inch pie
- Fill bottom shell with apples
- Combine next six ingredients
- Pour over apples
- Cover with top crust
- Bake at 425 for 45 minutes or until crust is brown and apples are tender
- Remove from oven
