Candied Or Stewed Apples

Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 12 tsp nutmeg
- 3 Tbsp butter
Directions
- Dissolve sugar in water in large saucepan
- Prepare apples by cutting in half and removing cores
- Place in saucepan and sprinkle with spices and butter
- Cover and cook slowly and turn apples when about half done
- Cook until juice begins to get syrupy
