Candied Yams

Ingredients
- 5 medium sweet potatoes
- 14 c water
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 c sugar
- 3 Tbsp syrup
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 14 stick margarine
Directions
- Boil potatoes until half done peel cut and place in baking dish
- Combine sugar water syrup and margarine cook over low heat until it forms soft ball when dropped into cold water
- Add lemon juice pour over potatoes and sprinkle with nutmeg
- Place in 450 oven cook for about 1 hour basting potatoes with syrup
