Capered Cherries

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl red sour cherries
  • white vinegar
  • sugar

Directions

  1. Place cherries in a bowl and cover with white vinegar let stand 24 hours
  2. Pour vinegar off
  3. Add sugar to cherries cup for cup
  4. Stir every few hours for 5 or 6 days until sugar is dissolved
  5. Put in small jars and seal
  6. Serve as a condiment like pickles
  7. Very good with poultry and meats
