Caramel Apple Dumplings

Ingredients

• 1 pkg pie crust mix
• 3 medium baking apples washed pared and cored
• 1 beaten egg
• 12 c caramel sauce from jar
• 2 Tbsp butter
• 13 c dark brown sugar
• 34 c water
• 14 c canned toasted slivered almonds

Directions

1. Prepare pie crust as directed on box
2. Roll 18-inch thick With pastry wheel cut out 3 7-inch squares 6 strips 6-inches long and 34-inch wide and 3 1-inch circles rolling dough if needed
