Caramel Brie With Fresh Fruit

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz Brie
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 34 c firmly packed brown sugar
  • 14 c light corn syrup
  • 1 12 Tbsp plain flour
  • 14 c milk
  • 12 c chopped pecans
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 14 c water
  • apple wedges
  • pear wedges

Directions

  1. Place Brie on large serving plate
  2. Melt butter and brown sugar in saucepan add corn syrup and flour stirring well Bring to boil reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes stirring constantly
  3. Remove from heat cool to lukewarm
  4. Gradually stir in milk
  5. Pour caramel over Brie
  6. Sprinkle with pecans
  7. Combine lemon juice and water
  8. Toss with fruit wedges
  9. Drain
  10. Arrange around fruit
