Caramel Candy

Ingredients

  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c white or dark Karo syrup
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 1 c whipping cream

Directions

  1. Stir first three ingredients plus 12 cup whipping cream constantly in large pan until it boils
  2. Add the other 12 cup whipping cream and keep stirring on medium heat
  3. Boil until a few drops in cup of cold water form firm ball
  4. Remove from burner Add vanilla and pour into buttered Pyrex pie plate
  5. When almost cool cut into pieces
