Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon 1-inch long
  • 3 large sliced onions
  • 3 lb stew meat chunked
  • salad oil
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 34 Tbsp salt
  • 14 Tbsp thyme
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 12 oz beer
  • 12 c water
  • 1 small bay leaf
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 18 Tbsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar

Directions

  1. Cook bacon until brown
  2. Put bacon in 3-quart casserole dish In bacon grease cook onions until tender and lightly brown Place with bacon in dish
  3. In grease cook beef chunks until browned on all sides
  4. Add salad oil if necessary
  5. Put in dish
