Caribbean Fudge PieKraft General Foods Inc

Ingredients

  • 14 c margarine softened
  • 34 c firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 8 oz pkg Bakers brand semi-sweet chocolate melted
  • 2 tsp instant coffee
  • 1 tsp rum extract
  • 14 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c chopped walnuts
  • 12 c walnut halves
  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy
  3. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition
  4. Add chocolate melt in microwave or in double boiler instant coffee and rum extract
  5. Mix well
  6. Stir in flour and 1 cup chopped walnuts
  7. Pour into unbaked pie shell Decorate top with 12 cup walnut halves
  8. Bake in lower third of oven for 25 minutes
  9. Cool on wire rack
  10. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving
  11. Top with whipped cream or ice cream Serves 8 to 10
