Carrie MaeS Chicken Pot Pie
Ingredients
- 1 large fryer
- 1 stick margarine
- 4 Tbsp cornstarch
- 3 c chicken broth
- 1 16 oz pkg mixed vegetables
- 14 tsp pepper
- salt to taste
- 1 c milk
- 1 16 oz pkg frozen English peas
Directions
- Stew chicken until tender
- Remove bones and dice meat Melt butter in skillet stir
- in
- starch
- Add broth and milk Stir until thickened over medium heat
- Place chicken vegetables and peas in 12 x
- 8
- x 2-inch casserole dish
- Cover with sauce Sprinkle in salt
- and
- pepper
- mix
- Cover
- with latticed pie crust
- Bake at 350 or until golden brown
