Cauliflower Au Gratin With Almonds And Cheese
Ingredients
- 1 small or medium head cauliflower
- 1 12 c standard cream sauce
- 34 c grated cheese
- 12 c blanched toasted almonds
- cayenne pepper or paprika
Directions
- Boil cauliflower in salted water until tender about 20 minutes
- Drain
- Make cream sauce
- If desired add part of cheese to sauce
- Reserve other and sprinkle over top of cauliflower
- Place whole cauliflower or broken into flowerets into casserole
- Pour sauce over cauliflower
- Just before serving sprinkle with grated cheese and almonds
- Brown in moderate oven for about 10 minutes
- Serves 4
