Cauliflower With Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 large cauliflower about 2 lb
- 2 to 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 c coarse fresh white bread crumbs
- 2 c tomato pasta sauce chunky style
- 2 Tbsp shredded basil leaves
- 12 c grated Parmesan cheese
- 12 c grated Cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Trim cauliflower into small florets Brush a deep ovenproof dish with melted butter or oil
- Place florets in dish
- Heat oil in frying pan
- Add the fresh bread crumbs and toss over medium heat until crisp and golden
- Season with salt and pepper
- Remove from pan and drain on paper towels Combine tomato pasta sauce
- Pour over cauliflower in prepared dish
- Sprinkle with combined bread crumbs and cheeses
- Sprinkle with extra pepper
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until cauliflower is tender cheese has melted and top is brown
