Chafing Dish Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 c dry bread crumbs
  • 13 c minced onion
  • 14 c milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp snipped parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 18 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 14 c shortening
  • 1 12 oz bottle chili sauce
  • 1 10 oz jar currant jelly

Directions

  1. Mix meat and next 8 ingredients
  2. Shape into 1-inch balls Melt shortening in skillet
  3. Brown meatballs
  4. Remove from skillet and drain
  5. Heat chili sauce and jelly in skillet until jelly is melted stirring constantly
  6. Add meatballs and stir until coated Simmer 30 minutes
  7. Serve hot in chafing dish
