Cheddar Cheese And Garlic Grits

Ingredients

  • 4 c water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 garlic cloves pressed
  • 1 c uncooked regular grits
  • 1 12 oz block sharp Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 12 c butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp seasoned pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 14 tsp hot sauce
  • 3 large eggs lightly beaten
  • paprika

Directions

  1. Bring first three ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan Gradually stir in grits Return to a boil reduce heat and simmer stirring occasionally 15 minutes or until thickened Add cheese and next four ingredients stirring until cheese melts Remove from heat let stand 10 minutes Stir in eggs and pour into a lightly greased 11 x 7-inch baking dish Sprinkle with paprika Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until set Yield Approximately 8 to 10 servings
