Cheddar Parmesan Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 14 c butter or margarine
  • 14 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 c milk
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 c 4 oz shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 12 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 5 c sliced cooked potatoes 5 medium
  • 14 c buttered bread crumbs

Directions

  1. In a saucepan melt butter or margarine over low heat
  2. Stir in flour until smooth
  3. Gradually add milk cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture thickens
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Add salt Cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese stir until the cheeses melt
  6. Add potatoes stir gently to mix
  7. Place in a greased 2-quart baking dish
  8. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top
  9. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes
  10. Makes 6 to 8 servings
