Cheese And Pasta In A Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 14 oz spaghetti sauce
  • 1 lb can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 3 oz can sliced mushrooms
  • 8 oz shell macaroni
  • 1 12 pt sour cream
  • 8 oz sliced Provolone cheese
  • 8 oz sliced Mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Cook ground beef in small amount of oil in large deep skillet until brown
  2. Drain excess fat
  3. Add onions garlic spaghetti sauce stewed tomatoes and undrained mushrooms mix well
  4. Simmer 20 minutes
  5. Cook macaroni drain and rinse in cold water as per package directions
  6. Pour half of shells into deep casserole Cover with half of tomato-meat mixture and half of sour cream Top with Provolone
  7. Repeat layering and end with Mozzarella cheese
  8. Cover casserole
  9. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes Remove cover and bake until cheese melts and browns
