Cheese Fondue
Ingredients
- 8 slices 1-inch thick bread cubed
- 12 lb grated American cheese
- 5 eggs beaten
- 2 c milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 c butter melted
Directions
- Divide bread into thirds
- Butter baking dish
- Layer 13 bread 12 cheese repeat with bread on top
- Add eggs to milk and salt
- Pour over bread and cheese mixture
- Let stand in refrigerator overnight
- Before baking pour melted butter over top
- Set casserole in pan of hot water
- Bake at 325 uncovered
- When brown and crusty put on cover and continue to bake for 45 minutes
