Cheese Sticks

Ingredients
- 1 lb. New York State strong cheese
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 3/4 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. or dash of red pepper (1/4 tsp. if doubled)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions
- Grate cheese.
- Let butter soften to room temperature.
- Hand mix cheese and butter until smooth.
- Mix dry ingredients together, then pour into cheese and butter mixture.
- Mix with hands until well blended.
- Press onto cookie sheet (ungreased).
- Bake about 15 minutes or until set at 350°.
- Makes 7 to 8 dozen.
