Cheese Wedges
Ingredients
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 12 c yellow corn meal
- 12 tsp chili powder
- 14 c margarine melted
- 14 c milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 12 c sharp Cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 4 oz can green chilies
- 14 c green onions chopped fine
Directions
- In a bowl mix flour corn meal and chili powder
- Add butter milk and egg
- Stir until just moistened
- Press mixture into nine-inch square pan
- Bake at 350 until mixture is lightly browned and begins to pull away from sides of pan about 25 minutes
- Mix cheese chilies and green onions spread over hot mixture
- Return to oven and bake until cheese melts about 15 to 20 minutes
- Serve either hot or cold
- Makes 12 pieces
