Cheesy Scalloped Cabbage

Ingredients
- 1 medium head cabbage cut into small wedges
- 12 c butter or margarine
- 14 c flour
- 2 c milk
- 2 c shredded Cheddar cheese 8 oz
- 1 c soft breadcrumbs
- dash of nutmeg
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
Directions
- Cook cabbage in small amount of water until tender drain well
- Melt butter over low heat add flour and cook 1 minute stirring constantly
- Gradually add milk cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick and bubbly
- Stir in spices
