Cherry-Blossom Bread
Ingredients
- 8 oz maraschino cherries
- 12 c butter softened
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 2 c sifted flour
- 12 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 c chopped nuts
Directions
- Drain and chop cherries reserving juices Add enough water to reserved juice to measure 1 cup Combine butter sugar and egg in bowl
- Beat well Add dry ingredients alternately with cherry liquid mixing well after each addition Stir in nuts and cherries
- Spoon into greased loaf pan Bake at 350 until loaf tests done
