Cherry Bread PuddingWith Almond Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 6 c bread chunks
  • 1 can 15 oz dark sweet cherries in heavy syrup drained reserve juice
  • Reserved juice plus enough milk to make 4 c liquid
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 tsp almond flavoring
  • 14 c butter or margarine

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Combine the bread with the 4 cups of liquid Mix well Beat together the eggs sugar and almond flavoring Combine with bread mixture and then stir in the cherries Melt the butter in a 9x13x2 inch baking pan Pour bread pudding mixture into pan and bake for about an hour Serve with Almond Cream Sauce
