Cherry Christmas Cake
Ingredients
- 12 lb 2 sticks butter softened can use margarine
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp almond flavoring
- 3 c flour
- 1 c milk
- 14 tsp salt
- 1 c pecans or walnuts leave in large chunks
- 1 small jar cherries cut up
- 1 lb confectioners sugar
Directions
- Beat butter until softened and light
- Add sugar and beat until fluffy
- Add eggs one at a time and beat after each addition Stir in almond flavor
- Mix flour and salt together
- Add to butter mixture alternately with milk about 13 each time
- Fold in nuts and cherries
- Bake in greased tube or Bundt pan at 325 for 1 14 hours
