Cherry Christmas Cake

Ingredients

  • 12 lb 2 sticks butter softened can use margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp almond flavoring
  • 3 c flour
  • 1 c milk
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 1 c pecans or walnuts leave in large chunks
  • 1 small jar cherries cut up
  • 1 lb confectioners sugar

Directions

  1. Beat butter until softened and light
  2. Add sugar and beat until fluffy
  3. Add eggs one at a time and beat after each addition Stir in almond flavor
  4. Mix flour and salt together
  5. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk about 13 each time
  6. Fold in nuts and cherries
  7. Bake in greased tube or Bundt pan at 325 for 1 14 hours
