Cherry Cobbler Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • Cobbler Topping see recipe
  • 6 slightly beaten eggs
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 qt light cream
  • 1 4 serving pkg instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 1 21 oz cherry pie filling
  • 2 c whole milk

Directions

  1. Prepare Cobbler Topping
  2. In large mixer bowl beat together eggs and sugar
  3. Add cream pudding mix vanilla and salt beat well
  4. Mix in pie filling
  5. Pour into 4 to 5-quart ice cream freezer
  6. Add milk
  7. Freeze according to manufacturers directions
  8. Remove dasher
  9. Add Cobbler Topping and stir until well mixed
  10. Ripen ice cream
  11. Makes 4 quarts
