Cherry Crumb Cake
Ingredients
- 34 c sugar
- 2 c flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 c butter andor margarine
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 1 lb 6 oz can cherry pie filling or other prepared fruits
Directions
- Sift flour baking powder and salt
- Mix with sugar
- Cut in butter add beaten egg and mix to make crumbs
- Place 12 of crumbs in bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch pan
- Distribute cherries evenly and top with remaining crumbs
- Bake in moderate oven 350 for 30 minutes
- Serve with ice cream or other topping Sprinkle crumbs lightly with cinnamon
