Cherry Fancy

Ingredients

• 34 c granulated brown sugar
• 3 Tbsp butter
• 12 c flour
• 1 12 tsp pumpkin pie spice
• 14 tsp soda
• 1 egg
• 1 c chopped walnuts
• 13 c granulated sugar
• 14 c chopped maraschino cherries
• 2 Tbsp grated orange peel

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350
2. Cream brown sugar with butter in mixer bowl until light and fluffy
3. Add flour pumpkin pie spice soda and egg blend well
4. Stir in walnuts
5. Spread in greased 9-inch square pan
6. Combine sugar cherries and orange peel mix well Sprinkle over batter
7. Bake at 350 for 18 to 22 minutes
8. Cool cut into finger bars
9. Makes 24 bars
