Cherry Squares

Ingredients

• 1 c butter
• 1 12 c sugar
• 4 eggs
• 2 c flour
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 tsp lemon or orange or 12 tsp almond flavoring
• 1 15 oz can cherry pie filling

Directions

1. Cream butter and sugar until very light
2. Add flour eggs and flavoring
3. Beat until light again
4. Spread in greased 15 12 x 10 12-inch pan
5. Cut batter into 28 squares
6. Spoon pie filling into center of each square
7. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes
8. Cool Cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar
