Cherry Torte

Ingredients
- 1 c. soft butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 to 5 egg yolks
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. flour
Directions
- Spread out on cookie sheet and make edges up side.
- Cover with cherry pie filling.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Add 6 tablespoons sugar.
- Cover filling and sprinkle with ground nuts. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
