Cherry Wink Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 14 c flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 12 tsp baking soda
• 12 tsp salt
• 34 c soft butter or margarine
• 1 c sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 Tbsp milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 c chopped nuts
• 1 c finely cut pitted dates
• 13 c finely cut maraschino cherries
• 23 c corn flake crumbs
• 18 cherries cut into quarters

Directions

1. Sift together flour baking powder soda and salt
2. Blend butter and sugar add eggs
3. Beat well
4. Stir in milk and vanilla Add sifted dry ingredients together with nuts dates and cut cherries
5. Mix well
6. Crush corn flakes into fine crumbs
7. Shape dough into balls using 1 level tablespoon dough each
8. Roll balls into crumbs
9. Place on greased cookie sheet
10. Top each with 14 cherry
11. Bake at 375 for about 12 minutes or until lightly brown Yield
12. 6 dozen 2-inch diameter cookies
