Cherry Winks Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
• 1 tsp. double acting baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 3/4 c. shortening
• 1 c. sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 Tbsp. milk

Directions

1. Blend dry ingredients to cream and mix thoroughly.
2. Add 1 cup nuts (pecans or walnuts), 1 cup chopped dates and 1/2 cup cherries.
