Cherry Winks Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 14 c sifted flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 12 tsp soda
• 12 tsp salt
• 34 c shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1 c sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 c chopped nuts
• 1 c dates
• 13 c chopped cherries

Directions

1. Sift

3. flour
4. baking
5. powder
6. soda and salt Combine together shortening sugar and eggs
7. Cream well then add vanilla
8. Blend
9. in
10. dry ingredients then add nuts dates and cherries
11. Mix well
12. Shape
13. into
14. balls
15. and roll in corn flakes place on greased baking sheet top each cookie with 14 maraschino cherry
16. Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes
