Chewy Brownies

Ingredients

• 4 4 oz pkg premelted chocolate
• 23 c shortening
• 2 c sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 14 c flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 c chopped pecans

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350
2. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch baking pan Combine chocolate and shortening in saucepan over low heat until melted
3. Remove from heat
4. Stir in sugar eggs and vanilla
5. Mix in remaining ingredients Spread in pan
6. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until brownies begin to pull away from the side
7. Do not overbake Cool slightly Frost with favorite chocolate frosting
