Chewy Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 34 c sifted cake flour
• 12 tsp soda
• 12 tsp salt
• 12 c cocoa
• 12 c shortening
• 1 c sugar
• 1 egg
• 12 c milk
• 12 c chopped pecans
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 36 marshmallows halved
• pecan halves

Directions

1. Sift flour measure and sift again with soda salt and cocoa Cream shortening
2. Add sugar gradually blending thoroughly
3. Add eggs and beat well
4. Add flour mixture and milk alternately beating after each addition
5. Add chopped nuts and vanilla mix Drop mixture by level teaspoonful about 2-inches apart onto well-greased cookie sheet
6. Cookie will spread
7. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes top with marshmallow half out side down
8. Return to oven and bake 2 minutes until marshmallows soften
9. Cool
10. Frost with cocoa frosting
11. Top each cookie with pecan half
12. Makes 6 dozen
