Chickaritos
Ingredients
- 3 c chopped cooked chicken
- 4 oz diced green chilies
- 12 c green onions chopped
- 1 12 c sharp Cheddar cheese
- pastry sheets thawed
- 1 17 14 oz box frozen pastry sheets thawed or 10-inch pie pastry double
- 1 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 14 tsp pepper
- 14 tsp cumin ground
- 14 tsp paprika
- water
- salsa
- guacamole
Directions
- In bowl combine chicken chilies onions cheese and seasonings
- Mix well chill until ready to use
- Remove half of pastry from refrigerator at a time
- Roll on floured surface 9 x 12-inch rectangle cut into 9 small rectangles
- Place 2 tablespoons of filling across center of each
- Wet edges and roll pastry around filling
- Crimp edges with fork
- Place seam side down on lightly greased cookie sheet
- Bake at 425 for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown
- Serve with salsa and guacamole Makes 18
