Chicken-Fried Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb beef top round steak 12-inch thick
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 c fine soda cracker crumbs
  • 14 c salad oil

Directions

  1. Pound steak 14-inch thick cut into serving pieces
  2. Blend egg and milk
  3. Dip meat in egg mixture then in crumbs
  4. Slowly brown meat in hot oil turning once
  5. Cover cook on low heat for 45 to 60 minutes until tender
  6. Season to taste
  7. Serves 6
