Chicken  Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 1 small fryer cooked removed from bone and cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 12 c plain White Lily flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 13 c Crisco
  • 1 c sweet milk

Directions

  1. Mix dough
  2. Roll out to about the same thickness as pie crust prick dough with fork cut into 2 inch wide strips then break into pieces about 2 inches long
  3. Add enough water to broth to make about 2 qts
  4. Bring broth to boil add chicken dumplings salt pepper to taste
  5. This makes enough to serve 8-10 people
