Chicken Dumplings
Ingredients
- 1 small fryer cooked removed from bone and cut into bite size pieces
- 2 12 c plain White Lily flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 13 c Crisco
- 1 c sweet milk
Directions
- Mix dough
- Roll out to about the same thickness as pie crust prick dough with fork cut into 2 inch wide strips then break into pieces about 2 inches long
- Add enough water to broth to make about 2 qts
- Bring broth to boil add chicken dumplings salt pepper to taste
- This makes enough to serve 8-10 people
