Chicken Baked In Sour Cream

Ingredients
- 1 2 12 lb frying chicken cut in pieces
- flour for dredging
- salt and pepper to taste
- 14 c butter
- 12 c sliced mushrooms
- 1 c sour cream
- 1 c water
- 14 tsp thyme
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325
- Dredge chicken in flour
- In a large skillet heat butter and brown chicken
- Transfer to a casserole Add mushrooms and sour cream diluted with water
- Sprinkle with thyme and cover tightly
- Bake until chicken is tender about 1 hour
- Serve with fluffy rice
