Chicken Marengo
Ingredients
- 3 lb chicken parts skinned and boned if desired
- 4 large Italian sweet sausages
- 1 c chopped onion
- 1 c sliced mushrooms fresh or canned
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 can water
- 1 tsp basil
- 12 tsp oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Pierce sausages simmer in water to cover for 15 minutes Drain
- Brown sausages in Pam sprayed pot
- Remove and brown chicken pieces in pot
- Spray again if needed
- Remove meat and cook onions until tender stirring frequently
- Do not brown onions
