Chicken Paprikash
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp oil
- 1 Tbsp onion chopped fine
- 1 frying chicken 2 12 to 3 lb
- 12 to 1 tsp paprika
- chicken broth
- 3 oz milk
- 1 Tbsp sour cream
- 1 Tbsp flour
- Spoon Dumplings
Directions
- In a large heavy skillet heat the oil Add onion and cook until soft
- Add chicken pieces and brown Sprinkle with paprika to taste and cover chicken with broth
- Cook covered until tender about 45 minutes
- Remove chicken to heated platter and keep warm Thicken remaining broth with milk sour cream and flour stirring constantly
- Arrange Spoon Dumplings around chicken on platter and serve with prepared gravy Serves 4
