Ingredients

  • 2 c sifted flour
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 c oil
  • 1 tsp lemon extract
  • 1 tsp orange extract
  • 7 unbeaten egg yolks
  • 34 c cold water
  • 7 egg whites
  • 12 tsp cream of tartar
  • ungreased tube pan

Directions

  1. Mix flour sugar baking powder and salt
  2. Make a well in middle
  3. Add oil egg yolks water orange and lemon extract beat In another bowl beat egg whites with cream of tartar until whites form stiff peaks
  4. Pour egg yolk mixture over beaten whites folding until blended
  5. Do not stir
  6. Pour into pan bake 55 minutes until light brown
