Chili-Cheese Pie
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp plus 1 tsp margarine divided
- 12 c chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 8 oz cooked ground beef crumbled
- 1 can green chilies chopped
- 1 Tbsp plus 1 tsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp chili powder
- salt
- dash of ground pepper
- 34 c four
- 12 c buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 14 tsp baking soda
Directions
- In 8 ounce nonstick skillet heat 1 teaspoon margarine over medium heat until bubbly and hot
- Add onion and garlic saute about 3 minutes
- Add beef chilies tomato paste chili powder 12 teaspoon salt and ground pepper
- Cook stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes
- Transfer mixture to a 9-inch pie plate and sprinkle with cheese
