Chili-Mac Skillet
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 34 c chopped onion
- 1 15 12 oz can red kidney beans
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 7 12 oz can tomatoes cut up
- 12 c elbow macaroni
- 2 to 3 tsp chili powder
- 1 4 oz can diced green chili peppers drained
- 12 tsp garlic salt
- 12 c shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese 2 oz
Directions
- Drain kidney beans
- In a large skillet cook meat and onion until meat is brown
- Drain fat
- Stir in beans tomato sauce undrained tomatoes uncooked pasta green chilies chili powder garlic salt and 14 cup water
- Bring to boiling reduce heat Cover
- Simmer 20 minutes stirring often
- Top with cheese Cover
- Heat 2 minutes or until cheese melts
- Serves six
