Chinese-Style Pepper Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 lb boneless top round steak
  • 14 c vegetable oil
  • 3 medium green peppers coarsely chopped
  • 1 c thinly sliced celery
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 12 c diced onion
  • 1 c beef bouillon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • 14 c soy sauce
  • 14 c water
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • hot cooked rice

Directions

  1. Partially freeze steak then slice across the grain into 3 x 18-inch strips
  2. Brown meat in hot oil in a large skillet add next 7 ingredients
  3. Cover reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes Combine soy sauce water and cornstarch stir well
  4. Add to meat mixture then cook stirring constantly until thickened
  5. Serve over rice
  6. Yield
  7. 8 servings
