Chinese-Style Pepper Steak
Ingredients
- 2 lb boneless top round steak
- 14 c vegetable oil
- 3 medium green peppers coarsely chopped
- 1 c thinly sliced celery
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 12 c diced onion
- 1 c beef bouillon
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
- 14 c soy sauce
- 14 c water
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- hot cooked rice
Directions
- Partially freeze steak then slice across the grain into 3 x 18-inch strips
- Brown meat in hot oil in a large skillet add next 7 ingredients
- Cover reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes Combine soy sauce water and cornstarch stir well
- Add to meat mixture then cook stirring constantly until thickened
- Serve over rice
