Chinese Chews

Ingredients
- 12 c butter
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c flour
- 12 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 c nuts
- 1 lb chopped dates
- 14 tsp soda
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar
- Add beaten eggs then the flour that has been sifted with the cream of tartar and the soda
- Mix well Add dates nuts and flavoring
- Spread in 8-inch pan
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350
