Chinese Egg-Drop Soup

Ingredients

  • 3 c chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp cold water
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced
  • 1 beaten egg

Directions

  1. Put chicken broth in saucepan
  2. Bring to a boil
  3. Immediately reduce heat to simmer
  4. Dissolve cornstarch in water add to chicken broth stirring until slightly thickened
  5. Add onion and stir
  6. Add egg very slowly stirring to break it up
  7. Serve immediately
