Choco-Dot Pumpkin Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c sifted flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 12 tsp cinnamon
  • 12 tsp ground cloves
  • 14 tsp ginger
  • 2 c sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1 lb can 2 c pumpkin
  • 1 c vegetable oil
  • 1 c Kelloggs All-Bran cereal
  • 1 6 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 c coarsely chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Sift together flour baking powder soda salt spices and sugar
  2. Set aside
  3. In large mixing bowl beat eggs until foamy Add pumpkin vegetable oil and All-Bran cereal mix well
  4. Add sifted dry ingredients mixing only until combined
  5. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts
  6. Spread evenly in ungreased 10 x 4-inch tube pan
  7. Bake in moderate oven 350 for about 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out clean
  8. Cool completely before removing from pan
  9. Place on cake plate
  10. Can be eaten plain or with a confectioners sugar glaze
  11. Makes 12 servings
