Chocolate Almond Brittle
Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 12 c light corn syrup
- 18 tsp salt
- 1 c coarsely chopped almonds
- 1 Tbsp butter margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 12 tsp baking soda
- 34 lb dark or milk chocolate confectionery coating
Directions
- In a
- 1 12-quart microwave-safe bowl combine sugar corn syrup and salt mix well
- Microwave on High for 4 minutes
- Stir in almonds microwave on High again 4 minutes
- Add butter and vanilla microwave on High 1 to 1 12 minutes
- Stir in baking soda
- As soon as the mixture foams quickly pour onto a greased metal baking sheet
- Cool completely
- Break into 2-inch pieces Melt chocolate in microwave
- Drizzle over top
- Yield
- About 1 pound
