Chocolate Caramel Bars

Ingredients

  • German chocolate cake mix
  • 34 c melted oleo
  • 13 c evaporated milk
  • 1 large pkg chocolate chips
  • 1 c blanched peanuts
  • 14 oz bag caramels
  • 13 c evaporated milk

Directions

  1. Beat together cake mix melted oleo and 13 cup evaporated milk
  2. Stir peanuts into mixture and press 12 of it in a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan
  3. Bake at 350 for 5 minutes
  4. Melt caramels and 13 cup evaporated milk in double boiler
  5. After cake comes out of oven sprinkle chocolate chips on top and pour caramel mix on top
  6. Crumble remaining 12 cake mix on top
  7. Bake 15 minutes at 350
